Valmod Overhaul basically changes everything that you may be used to, from tools to quests to weapons. Overhaul pack is ideal for players who want a whole new experience while gaming. These changes can be made on the fly and are easy to switch off later if its too much.Valmod was created by Valmar and comes in an Overhaul pack or Expansion pack. Besides just the difficulty you could increase the zombie spawn, set them to feral or lower the block durability (making your fortress less secure). The Overhaul should give you a much more unique experience and different difficulty curves compared to vanilla or Expansion - which basically sticks to vanilla playstyle overall.Īs for making your current game more difficult. Of course a new game would be best for this. What I could recommend, though may not be what you're after, is to step up from Valmod Expansion and into Valmod Overhaul if you're wanting more difficulty and a harder/different experience. They have to be designed in such a way to allow that.

7DTD modding isn't really something where you can just pick and choose and have mods work together. Unfortunately there are no mods that can really be added to Valmod in such a way without a lot of work from the player.

Glad you and your friend are enjoying yourselves. Was wondering if there was some other mods that you can recommend that work with Valmod that might make it harder / different? well if the game had 20+ police zombies each wave it might get a scratch. We're starting to get kinda experienced and have adjusted the difficulty to max more or less. Me and my friends played Valmod Expansion and had a great time last week. Some of us are hounding devs about it, and we may at some point find the right one to fix it. So until they fix that obvious fubar, which they don't see as a problem because it's not a problem in vanilla, then mods like Val that have lots of recipes will always suffer that issue. That's tied to the pimps hard coding reading from the entire recipe list for the search inside workbenches, instead of just the list of work bench recipes. Too bad, because from what I was able to see, you have added some pretty neat changes/additions to the game. So I have to wait until the game improves further or I get a new computer before I can give your modpack another try. I have read somewhere that there is nothing you can do about it, because the game is not yet optimized to handle lots of recipies/items. Unfortunately, forges and fireplaces get extremely laggy when I have VMO installed. Well, as you might have seen already, it also works with the local files if you use absolute path names. Now I know what Guppycur meant with "notes inside". Bigger Backpack would not overwrite anything Horde Edition changes so the two are perfectly interchangeable with one another. The only order that matters is Valmod Overhaul must be installed first - the rest of the order doesn't really matter. Technically you could do number 3 before number 2 if you wanted. However it should be possible to use Bigger Backpack with the Horde Edition. If it can, props to Spherell for making the launcher that intelligent.

I'm not even sure if the launcher would know how to use Bigger Backpack with the "normal" Valmod. I'm not sure if its practical to do with the launcher. I wanted to ask you in case this needed a custom. would it be possible to add bigbackpack to the HORDE edition under CompoPack in the 7D2D Launcher? That way we could have Overhaul, Compo, Horde and Bigbackpack in 1 slick download.
